Change a life. Change the world.
Please consider helping a child in need and sponsor a World Vision Hope Child. For less than a cup of coffee you can change the life of a child in need, his family, his community, our world.

Change a life... change the world. One day you'll be greeted at the gates by the many lives you'll change by sponsoring just one child in a family of need.

We've sponsored many World Vision children worldwide for over 12 years. My Families biggest gift during the holidays are receiving pictures from our sponsored children with their families showing us the products, tools, food, clothes, medicine, books they buy with the funds we provide. They boast of the social services and education they receive. And, best of all they are grateful by giving glory to our God.

You can copy this link and paste into your browser's URL to get more information or click on 'Get a Free CD' on our website.  http://www.worldvision.org

Many thanks for stopping by.

The Case for Christ
I recently had a very close friend of mine send me an email with a link to a facebook video clip of Richard Dawkins being interviewed by Bill Maher. Both are atheists.

Here is the link. You'll have to copy and paste the URL into your browser and please come back for an important message to seekers, believers, pastors and mentors.  http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=33592390270

My friend, who sent me this link demonstrated to me how close he thought we are to end times and we discussed two pieces of scripture.

1.  Galations 6:7-8 " Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the spirit reap eternal life"

2. Matthew 7:13-14 " enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it."

Now, while I'm not a doom and gloom, fire and brimstone believer of end times anytime soon (I hope), I do believe in all of His word. So, if these scriptures grip you from within while putting the fear and the love of God into your hearts.... you're in. That's it, you made it. You crossed the narrow bridge of hope and entered the gate to the Kingdom of God. Brothers, Sisters...let it begin.

Now please say this prayer with me. "Father I am seeking You dear God. and I ask You to forgive my sin and wash it away as far as east is from west. I ask You Father for the wisdom to surrender my will and live Your will Father God. I ask You for strength to repent and live my life with Your purpose. That only You, our creator and king of all will reveal in Your time Father. Thank you God"

If you have not viewed the video I referred to earlier I encourage you to view the video and keep these two scriptures in mind.

I found the comment posts most interesting and can't think of a better time to point out the two most definitive arguments on the case for Christ I know.

1. The tomb is empty. The crucifixion, burial and resurrection only occurred 2K+ years ago and was well documented. NO ONE has disproved it.

2. If believers  are wrong what did they loose? Nothing.

3. If atheists are wrong what did they loose? Everything!

Even if Darwin is right about evolution why risk it, and does darwinism discount creation? Something so miraculous as all of this could only be the work of a Creator.

In the book of Genesis it records the Dinosaur. Can you base your argument on a talking snake when the scriptures both new and old are full of symbolic and metaphoric stories? Maybe God uses this methodology to weed out the weak and wicked. Who knows.... He is God and can do what He pleases.

This is why it's called Faith. If non believers could see Him, touch Him, smell Him, converse with Him, go to Him with problems, get a loan from Him or laugh with Him would they be any less Godless or more Godly? In other words would it have any impact on their lives? I think not.

Believers look for meaning in life and are humble enough to give thanks. Atheists look for reasons, excuses, explanations and most are self absorbed.

Indeed life is a mystery but without a belief in creation, salvation and eternity it would be reduced to just a chaotic cosmic joke.

Be well my brothers and sisters. Fight the good fight and shine!

Let it Begin
Welcome to my first post 'Let it Begin' on what I'm calling 'TheGodBlog'. We want to use this blog as an opportunity to keep our friends, family and fans posted on our prayer requests and report on them. The power of prayer is so huge for us that we want to share how God works in our day to day lives, His blessings and the lessons we learn.

Furthermore, we want to help build a community of 'World Vision' sponsors to share with one another their testimonies and prayer requests. I've said many times, to all those we've led to sponsor 'World Vision' children, the blessings you provide to a child through 'World Vision' blesses as many as 21 lives including the child you sponsor, his or her family members and their community. Not to mention the powerful blessings you, as the sponsor, and your family will receive.

'World Vision' is by far the most effective organization on the planet doing God's work by working with communities in need and teaching not only the Gospel but by helping them overcome poverty, hunger, deprivation and homelessness. An astounding 90% of your donation goes directly to the family in the community your sponsored child resides. They are debt free and run their administration cost off the interest of their cash reserves. They truly are a ministry of God and worthy of you finding out more.

'World Vision' also has what they call the 'Hope' child sponsorships that focus on African and third world children that are either infected or affected by HIV. It's a known fact that if every child that has either been infected or affected by HIV in Africa alone could hold hands they would stretch across the U.S. seven times.

This is so abstract for me to get my head around that I can only fall to my knees and pray God uses me in a way that will make a difference in the world. I ask you to join us in that prayer so God will put on your heart the same calling He has on ours.

It takes so very little to make a difference. For less than a cup of Starbucks coffee a day you can do great things with the fine people at 'World Vision'. I ask that you at least consider this and encourage others to take up their cross and sponsor a child in need. Not all of us are called to a life of Ministry but we all can make a difference and have a profound sense of fulfilling purpose by giving what we can.

I can't tell you how many times we have received pictures and letters from one of our six 'World Vision' children as they showed us what they are doing, how they are growing in Christ and what they have done with the support we give. It brings us to 'Tears of Joy' and out of all the blessings we get from our Lord and Savior these blessings are among the greatest.

Please feel free to reply to this blog, share with others your prayer requests and hopefully the many blessings you've received by giving to children in need.

Let us know should you decide to sponsor a 'World Vision' Child in need and fill out the form on (Get a Free 'CD'). We'll rush you a copy of our latest CD 'The Will & The Way'. We think you'll love it as much as we do. There's a little something for everyone from Rock and Pop to Country and tender Ballads for the whole family.

In fact, there is a song I wrote at the very last minute of recording 'The Will & The Way' called 'Dance with the King' dedicated to Rachel Joy Scott, killed in the Columbine shooting. It was totally a God thing. After meeting her father during an appearance it was written in less than an hour, recorded for my project (that at the time was already considered finished) and to this day is one of my favorite compositions produced by the great Bob Kilpatrick. You can hear a sample on the 'Welcome' page by clicking on 'Music'.

Many thanks and may God's fruitful blessings through sponsoring a child in need bring you hope and encouragement.
